The Design Systems team offer a 2-3 week boot camp for new colleagues before joining their product team full-time. This provides an opportunity for them to get some hands-on experience using the toolkits, documentation and other resources. Every new hire that did their boot camp with Design Systems became a strong advocate for the work and its adoption. In turn, it also created an opportunity for a fresh perspective and new ideas.

I can really recommend the bootcamp concept. We have also visited several markets in other countries who use the design system. We were on site for a week and offered introductions and working sessions. Because the participants could give immediate feedback, we knew exactly where further documentation was needed and could prepare that back home.
